To identify your turbocharger you have to know OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) number. Usually, you can find it engraved on compressor housing or identification name plate attached to compressor or bearing housing.
STEP ONE: Clean the plate. Often the numbers are hard to distinguish, so the area need to be washed or cleaned with soft material and using brake cleaner. Using hard abrasive may damage the plate and recognizing the number would be really hard.
STEP TWO: Locate OEM number of turbocharger. Each turbocharger brand has its own marking. Here are some examples (select your turbocharger manufacturer for detailed information):
A Garrett part number consists of 6 digits starting with 4 or 7, followed by a dash and additional digits. For example 454083-1; 452204-2; 720244-5004s; 712290-0002.

KKK part number consists of 11 digits starting with 5 or K. For example: 5303-970-0057; 5303-988-0023; 5435-988-0125; K14-7805; K16-7805; KP35-7805; KP39-7805; K03-05.
Always use "970" as the middle number using our search box. If your turbocharger number is 5439-988-0069, just enter 5439-970-0069. If your KKK turbocharger OEM number starts with K, convert it to 11 digit code using this example:
K14-7805 equals 5314-970-7805
KP35-0054 equals 5435-970-0054
KP39-0037 equals 5439-970-0037
If KP39-0022 then 5439-970-0022
A Mitsubishi or MHI part number consists of a 5 digit prefix, followed by a dash and an additional 5 digits. For example 49177-02510; 49173-06501; 49135-05620.

Everything is easy if you have SCHWITZER turbocharger. Just find 6 digit Part number and hit it in the search box.
If you have IHI turbocharger you need to find SPEC number consisting of two uppercase letters and two digits. For example: VJ32; VA81; VJ27; VL25. In rare occasions it could be letters only: VIBG; VIEZ
To idenfity your TOYOTA turbocharger you need to find 10 digit number splitted by a dash. Usually it is pressed on compressor housing(alliuminium part of turbocharger) sometimes you may find it sticked to actuator (picture above).
